Enjoy a day at Beamish Living museum which is just six miles from the Holiday Inn Washington, this attraction offers you an insight into the story of life in North East England during the 1820s, 1900s, 1940s and 1950s. Also included is a Blue Badge guided tour around Newcastle City centre where you will learn more about the effects of the Industrial revolution and the 1930’s depression, have time to stroll and shop in the city centre before being taken to see the famous Angel of the North. Also included in the tour is a visit to Newcastle Castle.
During the tour you will also travel to see the Teignmouth Priory & castle on the coast of North East England was once one of the largest fortified areas in England.
