Bristol is a historic maritime city, a vibrant city bursting with places to see and things to do.
Bristol is known for its industrial heritage, rich history and home of the renowned Victorian engineer
Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Born on the 9th April 1806 and died 1859.
He is known to have overseen the design and construction of many bridges and viaducts none more so impressive than the famous Clifton Suspension bridge
He also designed the Steamship SS Great Britain which was the longest passenger ship in 1845.
Also included in this wonderful tour is the opportunity to step aboard the last Concorde ever to fly which is now housed at the Aerospace in Bristol. Concordes 50th anniversary was celebrated in 2019.
Bristol is a city of variety mixing ancient buildings set against a backdrop of waterways and imaginative modern developments. The city is officially recognized as a European centre of culture.
